China

When Pura was founded in 2008, they wanted to cut down on waste caused by baby bottles being thrown out as a child grew up. To do this, they created a modular design, where only one part needed to be swapped to change the functionality of the bottle.

Initially, they found it difficult. People were not ready and hadn't fully grasped the idea of zero-waste.

These days, Pura has won 37 awards and has 23 issued patents. They are truly a force to be reckoned with in the reusable-bottle world, particularly for baby bottles.

    Great bottle

Bought this for my hungry newborn. Upgraded from the normal Pura Kiki bottles to this insulated one and I love it. Baby has no issues with teat and happily drinks away.

    Great bottle, but....

I really wanted to love this bottle, it sounded perfect specially to keep the milk cold for as long as possible during the hot days in Brisbane. The bottle itself is great but there are issue with the nipple, the slow flow is REALLY hard (I tried myself) and the medium flow is away too fast, I spend money purchasing extra nipple (medium flow) but regret, it worked well with wide neck Pigeon for me but it lost the “anti colic effect as the vent won't work. Second design issue is the lid, I wonder why the lid is not insulated as well, it feels like it does loose the insulation because of that, I tested with iced water and it did not keep it cold for 4 hours, at around 2 hours was room temperature, I think it is due to the lid, the good side of the lid is that you can place firm enough to seal the nipple and it wont leak. I have spent total $80 for bottle, extra nipple and Pingen nipple to make it work for us, I'd love a second one but just wouldnt spend that again.
