Well well well isn’t this an expensive lunchbox for a kid… my son is not quite old and dextrous enough to open the thermos section independently yet but I’m sure he’ll get there. It’s a solid, well made gadget.

We love the Omio lunch box. The only thing is that my daughter managed somehow to screw the lid on the little thermos soup flask crookedly, and we are totally unable to un-screw it. It’s very frustrating. If we twist it too hard it will break off the handle; we tried heating up the container thinking the expanding metal or softening plastic might allow us to open the lid, but the whole container gets too hot to handle! So basically if your school-aged child screws the lid on unevenly (let’s face it, we all do this ourselves sometimes), then scratch the thermos flask function from the lunchbox. Apart from that, the box seals nicely, is a great size, lovely colours and is fun for my daughter to pack her own lunch into.

If packed tightly it's plenty of space for food. The thermos could be bigger or square but definitely enough for the hot department of our kids lunch. My small has broken many other bento boxes so we love how hardy this one is!
