Firstly, all socks are Vegan Certified and Fair Trade Certified, so no animals or humans are adversely affected in production. The cotton used in the socks is sourced from India, which supports emerging markets and the small cotton farmers in the country. The socks are also manufactured in India, and Conscious Step makes sure their workers are taken care of, including fair wages, overtime compensation, and no child labour. Although these steps alone aren't going to change the world, they show that a great product can be created without exploitation, and that may affect change.
