The glossed over truth is that all palm oil, even if claimed 'sustainable', can not be guaranteed cruelty free. Palm oil is used extensively in food, cleaning and personal care under hidden synthetic ingredients like Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Caprylic Triglyceride and Cetyl Alcohol. It is almost impossible to trace back whether the palm in such manufactured ingredients came from an area where rainforest was decimated, and orangutans, elephants and other species were killed.
